Are you Lifeproof?

Am I Lifeproof? The phone will most probably be, with the Lifeproof 2nd generation case for iPhone 4S/4, if fitted corectly off course.

As an angler, are you Lifeproof? Well, I wasn't until just recently. Just got my Lifeproof everything proof (water, dirt, snow and shock proof) case for my iPhone 4S. This is the 2nd generation case by Lifeproof and it is rated to IP68. I read that it's an improvement over the 1st generation Lifeproof case. I guess, I have to take the word of the user reviews on this one.

First impressions, the case is definitely well build all round. The seals and protection definitely look serious. Just as I read in some user reviews, the case can be hard to fit because you have to apply quite some pressure just to get the two halves to fit properly. Initially, I had problems aligning the top and bottom halves but realized that it aligns better if you fit the bottom part first (charge port door) then press it towards the top of the phone. But, before you even get to fitting it, it is advisable that you clean your phone thoroughly with cleaning alcohol with a lint free cloth and make sure that the touch screen, front and rear camera lenses remain dust free.

I bought mine from Amazon (UK) for GBP49.99. Apparently, orange is one of the most expensive colors. Black is the cheapest at GBP39.99, for obvious reasons.

Without putting it to the test, I am generally satisfied with it. The only improvement which I'd like to see in future Lifeproof cases is a hard front panel instead of the current soft film one, which to me doesn't quite give a perfect snug fit against the touch screen. When you touch to operate the screen, it feels as though there is a slight gap in between the film and the iPhone's touchscreen. With a hard front panel, the case would have been perfect. Until a new version is available, according to reviews I've read so far, this is undoubtedly the best water, dirt, snow and shock proof iPhone 4S/4 case in the market at the moment. And, there's also an iPhone 5 version (as well as iPad Lifeproof cases).

The contents which consists of the two halves of the case, everything proof noise cancellation headphone jack, lint free cleaning cloth and some spare parts.

If you fish and need to carry a phone with you while you fish, if you are currently using some sort of a zip tie bag to protect your iPhone from water, look no further than Lifeproof.
